Model 301: Good ductility/weldability, better wear resistance and fatigue strength than 304 stainless steel. Common products such as spring, steel structure, wheel cover.
Model 304: Food grade stainless steel most commonly used in tableware, with 18/8 (18% chromium + 8% nickel) composition and less than 2% manganese content. Common products such as: corrosion-resistant containers, tableware, furniture, railings, medical equipment. Non-magnetic, when the impurity content is high, it will appear weak magnetic occasionally after processing, and can not change its metallographic structure by means of heat treatment.
Model 316: Following 304, the second most widely used steel, also known as medical grade stainless steel, consists of 18/10 (18% chromium + 10% nickel) and adds molybdenum to obtain a special corrosion-resistant structure. It has better resistance to chloride corrosion than 304 and is mainly used in food industry and surgical equipment. The price is also more expensive, some high-priced pots will use this material.
Model 430: Martensitic stainless steel, 18/0 (16-18% chromium, no nickel) with low carbon content. This kind of stainless steel is magnetic and can be adsorbed by magnets. Low price, often used as tableware, furniture supplies, fasteners. It has good formability, but its temperature resistance and corrosion resistance are poor. Generally, the surface can be hardened by heat treatment to increase strength and prevent rust.
